Job Description:

Location: New York City

 

The Tier 3 Technical Engineer is a member of the technical management team and will primarily troubleshoot and repair advanced client IT issues and manage advanced level projects assigned to them by their manager. They also act as an escalation point for tier 2 technical engineers and respond to critical or emergency incidents.

Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair advanced client IT issues.
• Perform advanced maintenance and system administration tasks.
• Manage projects assigned by their manager.

• Train junior engineers and technicians.

General Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Willingness to pursue professional certifications.
• Project management experience.
• Proven ability to resolve advanced technical issues.

Certification Requirements
• A+, Network +, or any hardware or software specific certification. Examples would be Blackberry, Citrix, Fortinet etc.
• Two Microsoft certifications in the path of MCITP.
• One foundation level Cisco certification such as CCENT, or CCNA.
